Die Patientenbox für persönliche Dinge "ELIBOX"

The patient box for personal items "ELIBOX"

With alert senses until the operation - Elixbox

As people get older, they become increasingly dependent on personal aids to correct impairments and ailments. Glasses to correct poor eyesight, hearing aids to improve hearing, and even dentures are widely available and provide security, especially where partial loss weakens the function of individual senses.

For reasons of safety and hygiene, these aids have previously been removed from patients in the hospital room before an operation/examination and stored there. However, it is precisely in the period leading up to the operation and also directly afterward that many people find the loss of their "senses" particularly disturbing and stressful. The entire time, during transport from the room to the operating theatre, during preparation for the operation, but also in the recovery room where the patient recovers from the procedure, and during the subsequent transport back to the hospital room, the patient has to cope with his senses being impaired in this way. This not only affects patient comfort but also patient safety.

The elibox® is a container that is produced using an injection molding process, consisting of a washable outer shell and an inner part with corresponding recesses in which a pair of glasses, two hearing aids and two dentures can be safely stored. The elibox® is attached to the bed using Velcro, thus accompanies the patient right up to the operating room and is available again immediately after waking up from the anesthesia. Interested healthcare facilities and private individuals can purchase the elibox® from Grauba AG.
